Argentina’s immunization campaign has administered 29,362,896 doses since December, after the Strategic Vaccination Plan was launched.
The country plans to vaccinate 12 to 17-year-old adolescents with health problems that make them vulnerable to COVID-19, after the European Medicines Agency authorized the use of the Moderna vaccine in adolescents, the ministry said in its daily pandemic report.
“This recommendation is a very important step in Argentina that will allow us to vaccinate, in a prioritized way, young people aged 12 to 17 with risk factors” totalling 900,000 people, Health Minister Carla Vizzotti said.
